Used the juice and zest of 2 sizeable, juicy lemons rather that messing with whole lemons and it worked perfectly. I wrote to the wonderful Allt om Mat magazine and they published my question (complete with adorable, if not stereotypical, cartoon of a blonde home baker with a grizzly outside the kitchen window!!).
